In May, I had the pleasure of providing my full-day service for Claire and Geoff’s lovely wedding at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales.
The day kicked off with the roaring sound of a blue Ford Escort Mk2 rally car making its way through the castle grounds, with the bride inside. Claire’s bold choice of transport set the tone for a day full of personality, perfectly reflecting both her and Geoff.

The ceremony took place within the castle walls, where I provided the ceremony music. After the couple exchanged traditional vows, they held a beautiful handfasting ritual.
Guests then made their way outside into the castle courtyard for a sunny drinks reception, where I continued with background music. As the evening drew in, the party moved into the Coach House for the evening reception, with music flowing between the dancefloor and the courtyard outside, seamlessly bringing the indoors and outdoors together.
It was a real honour to be part of Claire and Geoff’s day, and to work in such a unique and historic North Wales venue. From the ceremony and drinks reception music to the full evening DJ experience it was a lot of fun!
